The short version
The owner built Top COC Bases in 2020, later sold it, and eventually acquired the domain again without the original publishing database. This version was rebuilt from public Internet Archive captures, surviving community references, and fresh editorial analysis.
The goal is not to pass old advice off as current. It is to preserve a useful snapshot of how players evaluated bases when Town Hall 13 was the endgame level.

Free layouts without surveys or pop-ad detours
The current library adds a TH4 learning set to make the historical Town Hall sequence easier to browse. Those entries are explicitly strategy reconstructions, not recovered original screenshots.
How the restoration was made
- Recover the structure. Archived menus and pages established the original Town Hall levels, four base categories, page titles, and article themes.
- Preserve verifiable evidence. A surviving TH10 layout reference informed the research without being republished, while a small set of official layout links were retained with clear historical labels.
- Rewrite the explanations. New original commentary explains purpose, tradeoffs, placement logic, and replay testing instead of republishing archived articles wholesale.
- Verify the 2020 ruleset. Supercell's own update notes anchor Town Hall 13, Royal Champion, Scattershot, and Super Troop references.
- Separate fact from analysis. Historical facts are cited. Strategic recommendations are presented as editorial guidance, not measured win-rate claims.
A people-first restoration, not an expired-domain pivot
The reacquired domain is being used for the same subject and audience it served in 2020: practical Clash of Clans base-building guidance. It was not repurposed for an unrelated affiliate, gambling, financial, health, or lead-generation business, and the old domain history is disclosed rather than used to impersonate the former publication state.
Every current explanation is written for readers of this site. New pages are added only when they provide a distinct tool, source record, historical explanation, or tactical lesson—not to manufacture search inventory. The archive date remains visible so returning visitors and search engines can distinguish preserved 2020 context from current-game claims.
Known limitations
- Historic image files are not republished; every library card uses a newly drawn strategy diagram.
- Recovered 2020 layout links may have expired and are never described as verified current links.
- The archive does not cover Town Halls or mechanics added after 2020.
- A public layout cannot guarantee a defense; opponents, upgrades, and balance changes all matter.
